Shannon Sheldon is a partner with Horovitz Tilley LLLC and acts as general counsel to over 200 condominium and homeowner associations across the State of Hawaii.
Shannon works closely with associations to establish sound organizational and administrative practices while maintaining a sense of community. This work includes helping associations maintain compliance with their governing documents and applicable law, standardizing procedures, revising governing documents and reviewing insurance coverage and contracts.
She supports boards of directors by attending board and annual meetings and preparing documents in preparation for those meetings. Shannon also assists associations in their collection of assessments, recording liens, court actions, and foreclosures.
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
Sheldon was President of the Hawaii State Bar in 2022, and is the third neighbor island President and first woman neighbor island President in the 70 year history of the Bar. In 2024, she is the President of the Western States Bar Conference. Shannon was also the State Bar Director for Maui, President of the Maui County Bar Association, and Chair of Community Council of Maui. She also serves on the HSBA Executive Committee, Hawaii Justice Foundation, Committee on Judicial Administration, Nominating Committee, Leadership Institute Committee, and Awards Committee.
EDUCATION
Shannon received her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. She holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of California in San Diego.
